Bernardi's has announced that Aruma, Havana House and Holistic Avenue are the latest community organisaions to share in the latest round of funding from their Building Better Communities program.

Since its inception in 2019, Bernardi's has proudly donated $200,000 into the local communities in which they operate and are committed to donate another $40,000 this year.
Taking overall donations (inclusive of other community donations before the Building Better Communities programs since inception) since 2011 to $800,000 dollars. The family-owned company have been able to give back to local schools, hospitals, sporting clubs and charities with their "Building Better Communities Program" which aims to focus largely on local organisations who need a helping hand, to keep our local communities thriving and connected.
Co-CEO Joseph Bernardi says "The program has been a great success for our communities and something that our family is very proud of. We love that it's a whole community effort."
Now, in round 6 of it's program, Bernardi's announces its newest beneficiaries for Forbes, Bathurst, Blayney & West Wyalong. The Round 6 beneficiaries will run from June to December and will share in a donation pool of $5,000.
Bernardi's invites the local community to shop instore, receive a token from the customer service staff at the checkout and vote for who you'd like to see the funds go to.
Beneficiaries are;
Aruma (formerly known as House With No Steps) - Aruma has been supporting people with disabilities for over 50 years. They focus on enabling people with disabilities to realise their personal aspirations and goals - they would love to purchase new tables and chairs for their central meeting place where they plan, connect, socialise and hold meetings to catch up with individuals.
Havana House - Havana House provides accommodation to women and families who are homeless of at risk. Donations would be used for the day to do runnings of the charity to provide emergency relief to women and children.
Holistic Avenue - Holistic Avenue is a charity that provides a free trauma informed support service for domestic and family violence, particularly for women & children in Forbes and the surrounding communities. They hope to put the donation towards every day running costs of the charity e.g. insurances, admin & supporting volunteers.
Every six months, the Bernardis' team will choose three worthy beneficiaries per store to share $5,000 of donations in the Building Better Communities programs .
It's up to the Bernardi's customers to decide who receives the donations.
Each time you go through the checkout customers will receive a token that they will then be able to place in the tub of the recipient they would like to support.
At the end of the fundraising period, the first vote holder $2,500, the second vote holder will recieve $1,500 and the third vote holder $1,000.
