The first restrictions for fully vaccinated people in NSW have been lifted, a glimpse of pre-lockdown life to enjoy again.
Dubbed "the picnic rule", the new measures were brought in to help balance public health needs with people's mental health needs.
From Monday, September 13 outdoor gatherings of up to five fully-vaccinated people, not including children under 12-years old, will be allowed.
In the regions still under lockdown, gatherings must take place within your local government area and must be outside in a public place.
This means backyard barbecues are not yet on the cards.
NSW Health warned people gathering will need to have proof of vaccination otherwise fines could apply.
