Forbes and District senior cricket's Andrew Glasson said they are looking at having seven or eight teams during this season, which is up on last season.
Mr Glasson said Condobolin players had expressed interest in playing in the competition this year and they are hoping to have two more Forbes teams in the competition.
He said that Condobolin has expressed in previous years of their desire to join in the local competition but outside factors stopped them from joining.
For this year's competition, organisers are looking at having six Forbes teams, a Trundle team and a Condobolin team.
The Condobolin squad is expected to be a promising team made up of a mix of players including several who have played with Trundle Ducks previously as well as Andrew Brasnett and Sam Dargan who both played in the Grinsted Cup anniversary match for Condobolin.
There will be two rounds played in this season due to the later start, but Mr Glasson said the increased team numbers should give everyone the opportunity to play.
Also on the agenda for this year are Super 8's games which should begin in January, that the district has missed out on in previous years.
If you want to join a team, contact Andrew Glasson on 0428 542 972f the Forbes District Cricket Facebook page.
