They are set to be hard to beat, with Steve Betland leading with a score of 75 on Saturday and a 66 on Sunday - 3 under par overall.
John Betland is not far behind his brother with a score of 72 on Saturday and a 71 from Sunday's play - 1 under par overall
But anything can happen in these club championships with another 36 holes to be played this Saturday and Sunday.
Steve is the current club champion and if he wins it will be his second title. His round on Sunday - six under par 66 is as good as you will see.
Steve said his score suffered on Saturday due to poor putting, but he managed to improve on Sunday which greatly helped his score.
While John had a fairly good score over last weekend, with a one under par overall, he said he will have to play better from key to green this weekend if he is to have a shot of winning.
A major thing John said he will have to improve upon from last weekend is to not spend as much time in the trees, which will cost him.
The final 18 on Sunday will be seeded with the best four in each grade playing together.
As of last Sunday, John and Steve were joined in the top of A grade by Calab Hanrahan who is currently on 2 over, overall and Dan Bayley who currently is on 3 over, overall.
Steve said playing with the three other best players in the grade isn't too stressful as they regularly play together anyway.
John agreed by saying that this shouldn't cause too much pressure for them as they have played in multiple championships already and should just be a bit of fun.
Going into next weekend's rounds, John said his brother Steve is the one to beat.
These top golfers will be joined on the course by avid golfers across every grade. The female golfers will also be playing over 36 holes this weekend.
