Forbes RSL Sub Branch president Michael Walker says they are currently planning a November 11 ceremony.
"There will be a wreath-laying ceremony at the Cenotaph," he confirmed.
November 11 marks the anniversary of the formal close of fighting in World War I, a conflict estimated to have resulted in 20 million dead and 20 million injured, the NSW RSL website reports.
In the four years of the war more than 330,000 Australians had served overseas, and more than 60,000 of them had died, the Australian War Memorial reports.
At 11am on November 11, 1918, Germany, the Allied forces and United States concluded an armistice.
One year on, the very first memorial was held at the Cenotaph in London.
Today Australians observe silence at 11am in memories of those who suffered or died in all wars and armed conflicts.
The local ceremony begins by 10.45am at the Cenotaph in Victoria Park and traditionally concludes with an observation of silence at 11am.
