President Rhys Woods thanked the club's sponsors and life members, the committee and the Platypi Old Boys for their support through the season.
On a night of honours, first grade captain Andrew Hubbard was singled out for hitting the incredible milestone of 402 senior games with the Forbes Rugby Club.
"To play that many senior grade games for one club is phenomenal," Woods said.
"It's a remarkable achievement, I don't think that will probably ever be done again."
Both Woods and long-time coach Phil Prior said they'd have loved the opportunity to contest the finals, lamenting that COVID-19 "pulled the rug out" and they'll never know what might have been.
"No discredit, it was a massive year for the club and it's easy to say that because the culture in the clubhouse was alive and it makes it a really great place to be," Woods said.
He also celebrated the club's off-field achievements including raising $10,000 for CanAssist through May Day for Tracey.
Phil Prior also voiced his thanks to the club's sponsors, committee and players - he's to retire from club coaching after some 40 years with the Platypi.
He congratulated each of the competitive grades on their achievements this year, highlighting particularly the junior club taking out the club championship.
The women's side struggled with injuries, but "we stuck strong and stayed together," Prior said.
"You made the semis and who knows what would have happened from there."
Platypi Colts and Reserves (or the wolf pack) didn't make the semi-finals but Prior paid tribute to them.
"I really believe our colts side were much better than what the results showed," he said.
"Over the last year under John Coles' watch ... the brotherhood amongst you blokes is tremendous. It is the epitome of what rugby is all about."
The first grade side might have hoped for a different conclusion to the season, Prior added, but we'll never know how the finals might have played out with players
"Your commitments were untold towards our private goals, what we wanted to achieve, I can't thank you enough," he said.
Prior joined the club in 1981 and reflected it's been "a wonderful place to be".
"It's family," he said.
"My father said to me a long time ago, with family you are strong.
"We are strong, never forget it. Once a Platypi, you're always a Platypi."
