Forbes' latest superstar greyhound Miss Ezmae has put in a cracking performance at Sydney's Wentworth Park, to win the Group 2 NSW GBOTA Sydney Cup final.

The race, on Saturday October 16, was the third win on the trot over 720 metres around the Wentworth Park course for Miss Ezmae.
Her first two starts over this distance at Wentworth Park included the Group 1 Racing Stakes on September 29 where she finished with a time of 42.30 and the G2 Sydney Cup Heat 2 on Wednesday, October 6 where she finished with a winning time of 42.29.
Trainer Raymond Smith said he was very happy with her latest win which saw her better her time again, recording a slick 41.70.
Miss Ezmae ($3.90) jumped from box four in the race, slotting into fourth place behind Zipping Niseko ($8.50), Super Estrella ($3.70) and Prim And Proper ($101.00) around the first corner.
Along the first straight and the next corner Miss Ezmae improved into second place behind Zipping Niseko.
It was then in the back straight where Miss Ezmae made a winning move along the rails, pulling into first place.
She was followed through along the rails by second placegetter Super Estrella with Zipping Niseko holding on for third.
Miss Ezmae exploded away around the home turn, opening up a four lengths lead before hanging on to win by three a half.
Kylie Keeping ($101.00) finished in fourth place with the race favourite Stanley Road ($2.90) winding up in fifth place.
The win takes Miss Ezmae's record to 13 wins from 20 starts.
She also has three second placings and one third placing in her record.
Another Smith-trained dog, Thirsty Colley made its racing debut at Maitland on Monday, October 18 in the Ladbrokes Future Stars Heat 2 Maiden Series.
The young dog finished in fifth place in a time of 22.71 seconds.
Next up for Smith is a trip to the Melbourne track The Meadows this weekend, where staying assignments await Miss Ezmae and Midnight Flash.
Smith is also aiming to enter Jungle Deuce in a 500 metre event.
