Forbes North Kindergarten transition program on Tuesday, September 9 and they had some very excited students.
Transition at Forbes North is a five-week program that allows new enrolments for 2022 to meet their Kindergarten teacher for next year, meet new friends, familiarise themselves with their new school and participate in some exciting activities in their new classrooms.
This program gives the kids a chance to get used to big school.before starting kindergarten next year.
All students were very excited to our first week of transition and had fun cutting, glueing, counting, listening to stories, and playing fun games.
We started the day off reading the book 'Elmer the Elephant'.
We then created some very creative and artistic elephants that were made with bright and colourful pieces of paper that we stuck onto the elephant.
After fruit break, the students participated in groups where they listened to stories, coloured in, wrote their names, and had some fun with some fine motor activities.
After recess, we did lots of counting and fun maths games.
We are looking forward to a fun filled remainder of our transition program over the next four weeks.
