Golfers get a good game in

Last Wednesday 17th was as it turns out to be the last of the golfing for a while so congratulations to those girls who went out with a splash.

An 18 hole Stableford round was completed in one Division and this was sponsored by our hard working FGA Treasurer Jenny Ridley.

With a very good score considering the state of play with 37 points was Lindy Cowhan with runner up being Ann Maree Gaffney on 34 points who also had closest to the pin on 9th. NTP 18th was Robin Lyell.

The new committee for 2022 has been selected and is as follows and on behalf of all the Ladies a very big thank you for your dedication and endless hours given.

Julie Hurkett is continuing on as President with Sarah Black as Vice President; Robin Lyell keeps the Secretary job.

Sal Perry also keeps the Treasurer's task assisted by Judy Hodge.

Heather Davidson is Captain again with Julie Hurkett Vice Captain.

The Committee consists of Ev Uphill and Lindy Cowhan with Sally Crosby keeping the publicity position.

Our end of year celebration and presentation of trophies is still scheduled for Sunday December 5 at the Golfie, providing those flood waters stay away.

If you haven't already put your name down please ring Julie Hurkett 0400 817919 by Monday 28th please.

Anyone is welcome especially the social players or friends who would like a Christmas lunch and a happy time.

If you are unable to come we run a very big raffle each year and you can buy tickets now from Sal Perry on 0419 044553.

The Roving Reporter is signing off until March next year however there will still be plenty of news from Short Putt.

Heather always keeps us up to date with emails and reminders which we appreciate.

The Forbes Golf course, like much of the surrounding areas east of Forbes, was quite literally underwater at time of writing.
