Opening hours will be from 8:30am to 3-00pm both days.
The group has decided to open four or five times a year, on dates to be decided, because it would be impossible to stay open on a more regular basis when they will need to spend time creating more unique items for sale.
While most of the interesting and special items are mostly made by members of the Men's Shed, there are a few which are made by men from Eugowra who are not members of the group. These are sold on consignment.
Most of the timber items are made of local red gum, iron bark and cyprus.
There is also a timber called hickorywattle, which is obtained from the hills behind Eugowra.
Merbau timber is imported and is used to make decking and outdoor furniture etc. Victorian Ash is another timber used which is the same as Tasmanian Oak.
Customers will have a multitude of beautifully crafted items to choose from such as: timber pails, milking stool, pot plant stands, golf club-head hat and coat hanger, wall hangers for pots, mirrors, red gum stool, garden benches made from pallet timbers, bird boxes, bird feeders, chopping blocks, trays, servers for tables, children's tables and picnic tables and adult size ones, timber boxes, wall art, hall stands, hammer head coat hanger, various ornaments, granite and steel products, 6' metal reindeers, metal upright snake, metal rocket cooker, steel guitar, mobile phone and ipad holders, 3 piece garden setting, variety candle holders, boot pullers, mancave tables, Christmas trees, and wooden decorations, blue and white tweety bird coat hanger and many more items.
The men who crafted these unique items will be in attendance at the Pop-up Shop and will be able to answer any questions about these products.
Members will take orders for items which people require.
Presently there are 14 members of the group and they welcome new members, including women. Some members are hands on and others just go along for a social outing.
The group meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you are interested in joining, please contact Ron Hay, David Hyde or Ted Round.
