The Forbes 12s scored a 20-run win over Western Zone Girls 14s in Orange, and our 14s dominated Dubbo Blue in Dubbo even after being bowled out in 26 overs.
Both sides actually got off to a wobbly start in their games, both of which were played away from home.
In the 12s, Forbes won the toss and elected to bat - and the Zone girls claimed the wicket of Max Hazell on the second ball of the match.
Mac Glasson (57) then joined opener Angus Field (52) at the crease and the pair carved out a century partnership before both retiring.
The Forbes middle order had the opportunity to score some quick runs and did, but not without a cost in wickets.
Hodges (8), Grayson (4), Stocks (3) and M Wallace (5) all contributed to Forbes' score, but there were 52 extras in the total 183.
Glasson and Field both returned to the crease in the final over, but did lose their wickets in the chase for extra runs.
It was still a significant target for Western Zone girls; and Hazell (2/21 off 6) struck back taking a wicket of his own on the second ball of the innings.
Fellow opener Metzeling (2/13 off six) struck next to have Zone girls 2/6, but Forbes then put their entire bowling line up through its paces finding the hosts hard to shift.
Forbes' own Western Zone representative player Emma Rippon (10), along with Dhaat (23), Nesic (20) and Woods (29 n/o) all resisted the bowling attack.
M Glasson (1/8), Johnston (1/7), Stocks (2/16) and Field (1/13) took enough wickets to diminish Western Zone's chances of victory - but the Forbes side also contributed 67 in extras on the now low-bouncing pitch to Western Zone's total 9/163 and the Advocate's cricket correspondent says this will be a focus at upcoming training.
Our correspondent reports Field and Glasson were no doubt best with the ball, but all team members contributed to the victory.
Forbes Under 12s: Max Hazell; Mac Glasson; Cayden Metzeling; Gus Field; Matthew Wallace; Mason Hodges; Tom Grayson; Ned Glasson; Mitch Stocks; Xzavier Johnston; Jackson Beaudin.
Elsewhere in the Lachlan Cricket Competition, Forbes' Under 14s were bound for Dubbo to take on Dubbo Blue.
They too were off to a disastrous start when opener Nicholson lost his wicket in the second over.
T Ross (40) and T Glasson (26) stabilised the Forbes innings before Ross was caught plumb in front to a ball that didn't bounce.
At this stage Forbes was scoring nearly six runs an over but their fortunes were about to change.
Dubbo claimed the wickets of G Field (0), Hardy (3), Beasley (4) and Hall (3) before O'Connell (8) and Jelbart (10) paired up.
McDonald (5) was the last man standing when the final wicket fell at a total 116 off just 26 overs.
Dubbo made a steady start to their innings, chipping away at the total before McDonald (1/12 off 4) cleaned up one of their openers triggering a mini collapse in the hosts' batting line-up.
Field (2/5 off 4) took the next two wickets in two balls with good catches by Jelbart and Hall; T Glasson (3/18 off 4) took another two in two balls in his first over.
Suddenly Dubbo, which had started promisingly, was 5/20 but it wasn't time for Forbes to relax.
Caton (26) and Richards (12) steadied the Blues' ship before a brilliant run-out from O'Connell had Dubbo 6/65 at drinks.
When they returned to the crease Ross (3/2 off 1) tore through Dubbo's tail enders and had them all out for 76.
Forbes Under 14s: Luke Beasley; Cooper Dun; George Field; Tom Glasson; Cameron Gordon; Marcus Hardy; Tyler Jelbart; Harry McDonald; Joe Nicholson; Dempsey O'Connell and Tristan Ross.
In other games: Under 12s Parkes 1/206 defeated Condobolin 7/151; Under 14s Parkes 9/32 defeated Wellington/Gilgandra 31.
