There's good news! The combined churches of Forbes have partnered with Forbes Baptist Church, Scripture Union and local Scripture teachers to deliver a holiday program from January 17 to 21.
This five-day summer holiday program is for primary school kids and it's on at Forbes Baptist Church - 7 Atlee Street - from 9am to 3pm each day.
It's open to children who were in kindergarten to Year 6 as of 2021.
The theme is Diggin' Detectives and the cost is $5 a day or $20 a week per child, or just $50 a week for three or more siblings to cover costs. The event is not-for-profit and is offered free to children who are unable to pay - have a look at the online registration.
There will be loads of games, activities, skits, food, music, craft and a bible story each day.
Children are asked to wear enclosed shoes and a hat, and bring lunch and a water bottle.
Morning tea and afternoon tea will be provided each day, and it will all wrap up with pizza and water games on Friday!
All leaders and helpers have completed working with children checks; first aid officers will be on site.
Look out for the posters around town with the QR code to sign up, or phone coordinator Nichole Austin on 0428 744 111 with any enquiries.
