Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan will return to the small screen as Charlene and Scott Robinson later this month for the much-anticipated Neighbours finale.

Minogue and Donovan first set foot on Ramsay Street when the show aired in 1985.

Their characters became so beloved that more than 20 million people across Australia and the UK watched their wedding episode when it aired in 1987 and 1988, respectively.

Donovan departed the show in 1988, while Minogue departed the show in in 1989 but they are still remembered as Ramsay Street's favourite couple.

So it came as no surprise that Minogue set social media alight when she posted pictures of herself and Donovan on the Neighbours set yesterday.

The pair were embracing and laughing in the pictures captioned: "Now we're back together".

Minogue rocked a set of denim coveralls - perhaps a nod to her characters love of them back in the day - with her curly hair in a half-up, half-down do; while Donovan donned a checked shirt and jeans.

Donovan shared the same images as his on-screen counterpart captioned: "So good to be back with this absolute legend. Scott and Charlene final scenes."
