Like the regular Mercedes-Benz GLC, the GLC Coupe is only being offered in a single core variant at launch. The GLC 300 4Matic Coupe is priced from $113,900 before on-roads, which is $10,430 more expensive than the outgoing model.

The high-performance AMG GLC and AMG GLC Coupe variants are set to arrive in Australia in the second and fourth quarter of 2024, respectively. Pricing and specification for these models haven't been detailed yet.

The GLC 300 4Matic Coupe is 31mm longer than the outgoing model, while track widths have grown by 6mm at the front and 23mm at the rear. The total vehicle width remains the same at 1890mm.

Boot capacity with the second row of seats upright has grown by 45 litres to 545 litres, and with the second row of seats folded has grown by 90 litres to 1490 litres.

The German carmaker has also lowered by drag coefficient of the GLC Coupe from 0.30 to 0.27 with the new-generation model.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic Coupe can be distinguished from its regular wagon counterpart, apart from the sleeker rear end, by 20-inch alloy wheels with a different design and the standard Night Package. Sport suspension is also standard, while the aluminium roof rails have been deleted.

All prices exclude on-road costs.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic wagon and coupe are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with 190kW of power and 400Nm of torque.

The powertrain includes a 48V mild-hybrid system that has a starter-alternator producing 17kW/200Nm, which is designed to deliver smoother start/stop and provide a jolt of extra power under acceleration.

The engine is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission with drive sent through a 4Matic all-wheel drive system.

Mercedes-Benz claims the GLC 300 4Matic has a combined fuel economy figure of 7.7 litres per 100km. It hasn't detailed a figure at this stage for the GLC 300 4Matic Coupe.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic measures in at 4716mm long, 1890mm wide, and 1640mm tall, with a 2888mm wheelbase.

The GLC 300 4Matic Coupe is slightly longer at 4763mm, and slightly lower at 1605mm.

Mercedes-Benz claims the GLC 300 4Matic has a boot capacity of 620 litres, whereas the GLC 300 4Matic Coupe has a boot capacity of 545 litres. This expands to 1680 litres and 1490 litres, respectively, with the rear seats folded down.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC range is covered by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.

Logbook servicing is required every 12 months or 25,000km, whichever comes first. The company offers three-, four-, and five-year servicing packages priced at $3100, $4200, and $6455, respectively.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC wagon earned a five-star ANCAP safety rating earlier this year against the 2020-2022 testing protocols.

This result was drawn from testing conducted by Euro NCAP and doesn't include the Coupe body style.
