Cowra rugby union player Joe Sullivan has been selected to represent the Stockman Rugby Australian Country team on their 2025 Pacific Paradise Tour to Fiji this month.
The program will see some of the nation’s top regional rugby players head overseas for a unique opportunity to test themselves against quality Fijian opposition.
The touring squad will be guided by ACT Brumbies assistant coach and former Wallabies captain Ben Mowen, alongside Classic Wallabies James Holbeck and Guy Shepherdson.
The trip promises not only fierce competition on the field but also a strong focus on personal development and building lifelong friendships.
For Cowra’s own Joe Sullivan, the selection marks another milestone in a growing rugby career that’s already earned widespread respect across New South Wales and beyond.
A proud Cowra Eagles player, Sullivan has built a reputation as a mobile and hard-working hooker who plays with the pace and intensity of a flanker.
His high work rate, strength over the ball and versatility across positions make him an invaluable asset to the team.
The Stockman Rugby coaching staff have described Sullivan as “a quality player with the kind of attitude and adaptability that every side needs when the going gets tough.”
His rugby resume also speaks volumes, with Sullivan being a ISA NSW Rugby representative, participating in Australian Schools Rugby Championships with Cavaliers Barbarians XV, being involved in the Gen Blue NSW development squad and the ACT U20s Training Squad.
Off the field, Sullivan is a stock and station agent in Cowra, well-known for his down-to-earth attitude and strong work ethic - traits that have clearly carried over into his rugby career.
