The countdown is on to Forbes' 2017 VANFEST music festival

There’s less than three weeks to go until thousands of visitors arrive in Forbes for annual music festival VANFEST.

Organisers have released a limited number of one-day tickets – and created a lottery for people to win one of 50 double passes.

December 1 and 2 will see a packed program with the likes of Amy Shark, Carmada, Cosmo’s Midnight, Dean Lewis, Dune Rats, Manalion, MUTO, PLGRMS, San Cisco, Thundamentals, Wilsonn and the incredible breakthrough powerhouse Tash Sultana, all gracing the main stage over a two-day camping festival.

Among those there are 17 ARIA award nominations, including exciting artist Amy Shark who has been nominated for six awards including best female artist, song of the year and album of the year.

Performing a live set, Home and Away and Underbelly actor, Mark Furze has come back from LA to join the Vanfest line up along withTigertown, Yahtzel, DJ Akuouo, Luke Million and Discovery who were recently added to the bill.

Local DJs will also include Keefy and Ox. 

The Bondi Lifeguards will host the VIP area for another year and will be on hand to teach their surfing techniques on the mechanical surf board, exclusive to the VIP area.  

The Budgy Smugglers will also bring their exciting concept the Hot Tub Club along with food offerings from bonditony’s Burger Joint.

VANFEST started in 2014 and is fast becoming a destination event with people sharing their road trip stories with event founder and manager Matt Clifton.

Clifton said weeks ago that all local accommodation was booked out, there’s a range of camping options available on location at the showground.

There are organised coaches running from Dubbo, Orange, Bathurst and Parkes. You can buy bus tickets online. 

There will also be a shuttle running between the showgrounds and the town centre.

VANFEST is proudly supported by the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW and Forbes Shire Council. Council has leased the festival for three years.
