Canowindra Tigers ready to take on Grenfell

After the long weekend off, the Canowindra Tigers are ready to take to the field this weekend against the Grenfell Goannas.

Canowindra Tigers' Malcom Miller said they are all set to head over to Grenfell and kick on from the Eugowra wins in both the juniors and first grade.

All three grades will be squaring up against Grenfell, and while the home side has seen a couple of disappointing results so far Miller said they won't be taking them lightly.

In the Woodbridge competition, the season has been one of the closest it has been for the past five or six teams, Miller said.

"We can't take any team lightly, so we won't be taking anyone lightly," he said.

While they have had a relatively decent run so far, Miller said the women's squad have had a tough run of injuries, while the first grade squad has had a regular run of injuries.

While having a weekend off may have a slight impact on fitness, Miller said it has helped players overcome any niggling injuries.

While not dealing with as many injuries, Miller said the Under 18s have been improving over the season, bolstered by slowly building numbers giving the squad a few reserves.

Miller said all systems are go for this weekend and they are aiming to keep improving and pushing on.
