COWRA EAGLES BOWLS
Tuesday 14 October saw Jane Kiernicki have a good win over Mim Schroder in the final of the Women’s C Grade Singles.
In Club Singles this past week, we had good wins to the following bowlers, Kak Smith over Sandra Davis, Allan Vorias over Dave Booth and Rob Watterston over Geoff Payne, along with great wins to Nev Connor over Dave Bohanna, Joan Bailey over Mim Schroder, Sharon Bohanna over Tom Peadon, Dave Hart over Sharen Hubber and Bruce Thurtell over Billy Hayes.
We also had some extremely close contests that could’ve gone either way and the outcome only decided in the last couple of bowls, with wins to Rob Britt over Kerrin Fisher, Jim McNaught over Noel Hubber and John Bischof over Shane Lauritzen.
Congratulations to the winners, many thanks to those bowlers that didn’t win, and thanks also to the match markers and umpires.

Last Saturday Dorcas Presnell and Leila Burns travelled to Dubbo and contested the Regional play-offs of the Women’s State pairs but alas lost their first round match and were thus eliminated.
This Sunday morning will be the round 3 matches, Dave Hart to play either Dorcas Presnell or Steve Sculthorpe, Leila Burns v Jim McNaught, Sharon Bohanna v Wal Walker, Bruce Thurtell v Allan Vorias, Nev Connor v Kak Smith, Rob Britt v John Bishof and Sonia Morgan v Bob Morgan. Joan Bailey v Rob Watterston and Dorcas Presnell v Steve Sculthorpe will play their matches during the week.
Upcoming matches and events: Sunday morning Mixed Social Bowls will be on this Sunday at 10am, along with the third round of Club Open Singles.
