Red Devils defeat Panthers

This week, Harden headed to Grenfell to face the Panthers in what turned out to be a gritty battle.

The Devils got off to the perfect start, with Nick Alcorn crossing over early in the first 10 minutes for the opening try.

But after that, it was all Grenfell as Harden found themselves under pressure for the rest of the half.

A series of unforced errors and ill-discipline kept the Devils stuck in their own half, allowing Grenfell to capitalize with two tries.

The first half ended with the Panthers leading 12-5, leaving Harden with plenty to think about during the break.

The second half started with more resolve from the Devils, who finally regained some control.

Harden managed to cross for two tries, including a memorable push-over try against Grenfell’s feed.

Despite some intense defense from both sides, the Devils held on and saw out the game, claiming a 17-12 victory.

Credit to Grenfell, who fought hard and brought plenty of physicality to the game.

It was a tough match with massive defensive efforts on both sides, but Harden’s resilience in the second half was the difference.

Looking ahead, Harden heads away again next week to face West Wyalong, who’ve had some close losses of late.

It’s shaping up to be another tough match, and the Devils will need to sharpen up in a few areas if they want to continue their winning streak.

Plenty to work on for Harden, but a solid win on the road!
