"A morning of gratitude" is how a very special event was described as Forbes Shire Council honoured local volunteers with a recognition and morning tea.
From health support and service clubs to education, the arts, and community welfare, our volunteers generously give their time and talents to enrich life in Forbes.
With certificates of appreciation and plenty of heartfelt thanks, the council honoured the dedication, passion, and kindness that these community champions bring to every corner of our region.

Community organisations honoured on the day included Forbes and District Lions, Evening Branch CWA and CWA day branch, Museum, Northside Chapel, Galari River Arts, Royal Far West op shop, Legacy, Friends of Forbes Hospital Auxiliary, and Meals on Wheels.
