Organisers were pleased to see so many current players of the club attend to learn new skills and improve their playing ability.
“It was also good to see several new players who came to try hockey and join in the fun which included locals and visitors who were in Forbes for the holidays,” said president Andrew Dukes.
The players thoroughly enjoyed the two days, which consisted of a mix of basic skills sessions, activities, games, rule advice, social breaks and ended with a short game of hockey.
Forbes Hockey thanked the sponsors of the clinics, Forbes Golf and Sportsman’s Hotel, for the use of their facility and McDonald’s for the supply of drinks during the hottest two days of the holidays and awards for players.
Participants thanked hockey club representatives Miranda Horton, Andrew and Melissa Dukes for their efforts to organise and run the clinics on both days.
