Youth League
Canowindra scored two converted tries in the first half while Eugowra's Jack Amor scored and the kick was waved away. The half time score was Canowindra 12-Eugowra 4.
With nine minutes remaining in the second half Eugowra's Blake Myors crossed the line and Corey Hurford converted. Canowindra 12 Eugowra 10.
Eugowra kept the pressure up with five minutes to go and sent Jaiden Gray under the posts. Corey Hurford made sure of the kick. Eugowra 16 Canowindra 12.
With a minute left on the clock Canowindra made a break and crossed the line. Final score Canowindra 18- Eugowra 16.
Great game by the Eugowra boys playing with no reserves and one player short.
Eugowra Youth League will play against Canowindra in the elimination semi final at Eugowra starting at 12-40pm on Saturday.
In Ladies League Tag Manildra will play Condobolin at 1-50pm and in First grade Grenfell will play Peak Hill at 3-00pm.
Geagles v Canowindra
In the opening minutes of the game Eugowra regained the ball from the kick off to send Liana Jackson over the line and Amelia Davis converted to open the score Eugowra 6 – Canowindra 0.
Eugowra kicked through with Belle Wykamp chasing and giving the ball another little kick to put the ball down over the line. Amelia Davis converted for Eugowra to go to a lead of 12-0.
With a great pass by Kimeaka Bermingham to Liana Jackson she made a clear break to cross the line under the post. Amelia Davis was successful with the kick- Eugowra 18-0.
With 15 minutes of the first half remaining Eugowra's Kimeaka Bermingham weaved her way through the Canowindra defence to score. Amelia Davis converted Eugowra 24-4.
With four minutes left of the first half Canowindra kept working the ball across the field to score and put their first points on the board. The kick was waved away. Eugowra 24-4.
Kimeaka Bermingham put a kick through for Liana Jackson to ground the ball. The kick was waved away. Eugowra 28-4.
The Eugowra girls worked the ball across the field to Britney Dukes who crossed the line out wide. Amelia Davis converted to make the score Eugowra 34-4.
With seven minutes remaining Amelia Davis ran around the Canowindra defence to score under near the post. Amelia converted her own try to make the final score Eugowra 40 to Canowindra 4.
The Geagles will play Cargo at Manildra in the Qualifier Final at 12.50pm on Sunday.
In Youth League Manildra will play Condobolin at 11.40am.
In 1st grade Manildra will play Cargo at 2pm.
Eugowra Eagles v Canowindra
Canowindra opened the scoring in the first five minutes with Marika Koroivui crossing the line. Attempted conversion not successful. Canowindra 4-0
With a couple of great passes Jye Skinner crossed in the corner for Eugowra- the kick was waved away. The score became 4 all.
With four minutes left in the first half Canowindra's Jayden Brown scored – the kick was waved away. Canowindra 8- Eugowra 4.
Right on the half time bell Eugowra's Peter Barnes crossed near the posts – the kick from Mitch Hutchings was not successful. Half time score Eugowra 10- Canowindra 8.
Three minutes into the second half Canowindra's Marika Koroivui scored and converted his own try. Score now Canowindra 14 Eugowra 10.
With 30 minutes left on the clock Canowindra's Codie Berroya crossed the line and with the kick waved away. Canowindra 18 Eugowra 10.
With 24 minutes left on the clock four players were sent sent from the field- two from each team after a bit of biff.
Eugowra's Jordan Hartwig scored a few minutes later. Jye Skinner converted to bring the score to Canowindra 18-Eugowra 16.
Canowindra came straight back with a try under the post. The kick was succesful. Score now Canowindra 24-Eugowra 16. Canowindra kept the pressure on and crossed the line out wide. The kick was successful bringing the score to Canowindra 30-16.
Canowindra scored once more under the posts and converted bringing the score to Canowindra 36-16.
With two minutes left on the clock Eugowra's Mitch Hutchings made a break crossing the line and converting his own try. Canowindra now lead 36-22.
Canowindra's water boy pulled on a jumper had a run and scored a try and then kicked his own goal. Final score Canowindra 42-Eugowra 22.
