School holiday Netball Clinic
Netball NSW will be conducting a School Holiday Clinic on Tuesday, April 17 from 9am till 12noon, for boys and girls aged five-ten years. Cost is $30-30 which must be paid online, with no cash being collected on the morning.

Players who have booked into the clinic must attend 30 minutes before the clinic start time for registration on the day. Boys and girls must bring a drink bottle, hat, sunscreen and healthy snacks.
This clinic is a great way to meet new friends, and have lots of fun learning to play netball. Thank you to Netball NSW for supporting and selecting the FNA, and bringing this clinic to Forbes.
Croquet News
On April 3 last we held our Birthday lunch at the Garden Chinese Restaurant with 34 in attendance. Once again it was a very social event with three members celebrating their Birthdays. Veva MacCullagh Doreen Rogers and Ken Styles all were celebrating their Birthdays and best wishes went to them on that day.
Seniors Festival was celebrated at the Croquet Club last Tuesday, April 10 and it was so pleasing to see so many visitors including some from the Jemalong Residential Village.
A delicious morning tea was served provided by many of our members and a great social event was enjoyed by all who attended. Approximately fifty people were in attendance and some of the visitors are going to take part in the game in the future.
Croquet is a form of gentle exercise as well as keeping the mind active so if you are looking to enjoy a great social atmosphere come on down on a Tuesday or Saturday and we are sure you will enjoy the friendliness and social times there.
Our games start at 9am with arrival by 8.45am to get your numbers and commence play by 9am.
On Saturday, April 14 we had four visitors from out of town join us and it was lovely to have them join in the game of croquet. We had Des and Laurel Wykes from Yeoval together with Lindsay and Ken Bradley from Sydney who were visiting relatives in town.

Bogan Gate Golf
Although the course has little coverage of green grass for this time of year, it is still playing quite long but with the dry weather there is good amount of run, Hopefully some rain will green the course over the next few months. Saturday, April 7 the club held an 18 hole Stableford event with a good roll-up of players.
Men’s winner with an exceptional round of 72 of the stick and 45 points was Ron Boness second was the in form Robert McIntyre with 41 stableford points, nearest the pin was Ron Boness on the sixth and 15th
Ladies winner with a good score of 37 points was Marion McIntyre. Saturday, April 14 the club held a par round winner was Don McKeowen with a respectable sore of plus one, second was Ron Boness on a score of Square.
Ladies winner was Maureen Boness on _four, nearest the pin on sixth and 15th was Ron Boness. This week a 4BBB Mixed will be played with a high tea to follow, all welcome.
Weekly Squash
Last Wednesday evening April 4, Jake Hennock played Danny Bilsborough. At the Forbes Squash Club the sets usually end at 15 points but as a margin of two points is required for a set win any score is possible.
Jake beat Danny 20–18 in the second set and won the match 15–13 in the third. Pat Cormie had a good win also over Alister Carlisle as did Brendon Allegri against Graham Coombs.
Louise Webb said touché to Ellie Cowhan for last weeks loss. Hennocks are still way out in front, Allegris second, W Bils third and Coombs cruising in fourth. position.
Team results were: Court One; Hennocks (17) defeated D Bils (10) Court Two; Acrets (9) lost to W Bills (12) Court Three; Allegris (11) defeated Coombs (9) Thursday night, Some long matches where, Regan Acret lost to a consistent Alex Doyle 11–15 in the fifth set and so did Steve Allegri against Brodie Acret, same score same set.
Then Jono Cannon met the same fate against aspiring Lockie Miller 11–15, set five again. Nathan Roach beat Daniel Bayley over five big sets also as did sub Tim Coombs against Brett Thomas.
Oli Dawes was back in form defeating ‘hard to beat’ Sam Hornery 3–0. Deb Bryant had Anthony Gordon running corner to corner but he still won the match while Deb’s hubby Ken couldn’t find that elusive point nine when he lost to Lara Stibbard 8–15, 8–15, 8–15.
Doyles lead the comp, Acrets are second, Hornerys are coming third and Pipers are in fourth place. Team results were: Court One; Acrets (22) defeated Doyles (20), Court Two; Pipers (22) defeated Kings (20) and Court Three; Dawes (17) lost to Hornerys (25).
