Marg Stirling braved the razor at Forbes Rugby Club’s ladies day on Saturday, with Brenton Howarth and Jayme Sherritt following suit.
Club members and supporters retreated to the warmth of the club house in cold, wet and windy conditions after the game and raised funds through an auction and shave.
Marg’s hair will be made into a wig for a child, while the donations will be used to purchase additional wigs and material headwear for ladies who have lost their hair through chemotherapy treatment.
Marg thanked everyone who had been part of, and supported, the day.
She extended special thanks to: Nick Ryan for his help organising the auction; Randall Grayson for auctioning the donated items; Alison Uphill, Tracey Prior and others who organised ladies’ day; all those who donated items for auction; Cindy Herbert and Trish Craft from Hair With Style for the head shave.
