The geese were led by a woman blowing a whistle and trailed by another woman on the drums as they walked down a street in Odense in central Denmark earlier this month.

User @dogan.2021 uploaded a video of the goose parade to TikTok, where it has amassed more than 13 million views in 11 days.

In the clip, the geese marched in time with one another to the beat of the drum while people lined the street to watch them.

Meanwhile, one man on the phone walked past the geese, completely uninterested in the spectacle.

While the video was filmed in Denmark, it is actually part of the age old tradition of goose herding from the Netherlands called "De Ganzenfanfare", which translates to "The Geese Parade".

De Ganzenfanfare can be booked for festivals and often tour around Europe, where they conduct spontaneous parades on the street in true flash-mob style.

Meanwhile in southeastern Denmark, a wallaby is believed to be on the loose after it was filmed hopping across a field.

Police said on Facebook that a driver saw the marsupial "hopping around" near Oster Ulslev, a village 16km from the port city of Rodbyhavn where ferries connect to northern Germany.

They said the driver, whom they did not identify, had the presence of mind to film the animal although they acknowledged the three-second video they posted was "short and grainy."

Nobody has reported a kangaroo missing and it is not considered to be dangerous.

The South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police requested any sightings or information on the animal's whereabouts to be reported using non-emergency number 114.

Despite the fact that kangaroos are not common in northern Europe, it is the second time the same police district has reached out for help in finding one: in 2014, a kangaroo escaped from a private animal farm in the same area.

And in July 2018, a kangaroo was on the run elsewhere in Denmark for half a day before its owner found it.
