The exhibit also took fourth place for the overall exhibit.
Forbes’ Ethel Constable, who has been part of the exhibit for 52 years, said this year’s theme was “How’s your fire plan?” and the western exhibit was designed to fit that theme.
Designer for her first time was Margaret Windeyer from Gilgandra, who after her experience was keen to design the exhibit in 2015.
Mrs Constable said one of the highlights of the exhibit for visiting members of the public was Elvis the firefighting helicopter, which had rotating blades and flashing lights.
