Touted as the biggest nightlife event to hit Forbes, VANFEST is a newborn live entertainment brand bringing staged festivals to the bush.
The night will feature a stellar line-up of bands, DJs and solo artists, spread across two stages throughout the venue.
All the action will kick-off at 8pm with DJs performing on a stage in the beer garden and then the live band will begin at 9pm, with entertainment going right throughout the night.
Adam Katz will team up with International Miami DJ sensation, Stacie Todd, for an on stage battle of LIVE V’s DJ.
Other artists performing on the night include Benny Vibes, Seth Keys, Skyehigh, and The Fannys.
VANFEST is a collaboration between the Vandenberg Hotel in Forbes and Donny’s Bar in Manly.
Vandenberg Hotel’s Grant Clifton and his son Matthew, who works Donny’s Bar, came up with the idea to bring great live artists out to the country.
“We’re trying to bring something to the bush because we miss out all the time,” Grant said.
“Too often we are forced to venture to the cities to sight and experience our favourite bands, DJs and other live artists, so VANFEST is idolising the city born trends and bringing your favourites out to you.”
Grant said Mudgee is the closest place to us that has anything resembling music festivals and he would love to see something like that happen here in Forbes which could become a music festival hub in the central west if VANFEST takes off.
“If we can make this work I think it’d be great for our central western area,” he said.
The aim of the event this Saturday is to trial the idea before holding a major event in the summer of 2014, which will be on a much bigger scale, featuring a star-studded line-up of local and international acts across two enormous stages.
This event will be held at an undisclosed secret location in Forbes, with the hopes of getting around five thousand people to attend.
“We’ll be bringing something to Forbes that hasn’t been seen before,” Grant said.
“This Saturday will be a little taste of what’s to come.”
Grant is looking forward to Saturday night and encourages everyone to come along and support this event, as it will hopefully be the start of more to come.
“We’re looking for a really good crowd,” he said.
VANFEST is being promoted as a drug-free event and organisers encourage the responsible consumption of alcohol to make for a fun and safe night for everyone.
Tickets are $10 for pre-sale or $20 at the door.
Tickets are currently available at the Van, however there’s limited availability and they’re selling fast, so don’t miss out.
