Held on Sunday October 15 at the Forbes Sport and Recreation Club, this charity lawn bowls day aimed to raise money for the Men of League Foundation and the Forbes Prostate Awareness Group.
The triples bowls competition drew in 70 bowlers from various regions including Eugowra, Wollongong and Dapto, Men of League Foundation treasurer Norm Cook said.
The winning triples team was Elyssa Cunningham, Christian Watt and Gunna Williams.
The lawn bowls day was about more than the competition with a raffle and an auction of football and racing memorabilia.
A football jersey signed by North Queensland Cowboys player Johnathan Thurston was the major item up for auction.
During the event, former rugby league players Neville ‘Nifty’ Glover and Matt Goodwin answered various questions about their careers.
Mr Cook said the day was a success and hopefully will be held about the same time next year.
