Max finished ten over, five each nine while Daniel, off a five handicap, played strong to finish par 72 with par 36 on both nines.
From reports Daniel sank putts from all corners of the greens, about as good as any greens in the country at this time of the year.

Forbes representative players had little success in pennants against Bathurst at Cowra on Sunday in all grades with Division 3 the only bright light scoring a 5-0 win.
Steve Betland who captains Division 1 said he had no complaints with the conditions of the course at Cowra except that the players from Bathurst were overall far too strong for our best players who went down 4-1.
One who is in form is Peter Nixon who remains undefeated after two rounds this season winning 3-1 against a promising youngster from Bathurst.
“Peter is playing well at the moment and we hope he continues this into our next match when we play Cowra in Parkes on Sunday week.
This is a match we have to win and hopefully (John) Betland will be injury free and can play,” Steve said.
Most other matches were relative close with Steve going down 2-1, Mark Collits who always lifts in pennants lost on the last, Shane Sallaway also had his chances before going down 2-1. Peter Dawson found the going tough to lose 4-3.
In Division 2 Forbes also went down in a match which produced some excellent golf from players of both clubs before Bathurst collected the chocolates 3-2.
Andrew Dukes found some of his best form to reverse the result of the previous week where he went down on the 18th to win on Sunday at the 19th hole.
Also winning for the Magpies was David Mylecharane two up while last week's hero Kim Herbert fought hard before going down on the last.
Cameron McMillan and Tim West both lost 5-4. However, Tim had plenty of reasons to feel hard done by as he opponent was three under par after eight holes holing putts from all distances in a game more suited to Division 1.
After the first round loss to Parkes, Division 3 found form with all members contributing to a moral boosting result before they clash with Orange Ex-Services in Bathurst this weekend.
Team captain Peter Barnes led the way with a 4-3 win over a younger opponent who, as Peter said, found the pressure of match play difficult towards the end. Peter went on to win 4-3.
Bob Borger is playing more regularly this year and cruised home 7-5 on Sunday while the clean sweep of wins saw Adam Borger win 3-2, Brett Thomas one up and Brodie Hodges 3-2.
Division 4 enjoyed the trip to Cowra but not so the match play format losing 5-0 to an experienced Bathurst side. Still, all Forbes players will benefit from the experience.
Les Little was a bit unlucky to lose 2-1 while the other results were more clear cup.
Brett Slacksmith lost 4-2, Steve McAlister went down 6-4 while Allan Rees and Frank Hanns pulled up stumps early losing 6-5 and 7-5 respectively.
This years pennants involves a round-robin of matches between Forbes, Parkes, Ex-Services, Cowra and Bathurst before semi finals against clubs in the northern part of the competition.
Forbes players in Divisions 1 and 2 have a weekend bye while Divisions 3 and 4 travel to Bathurst taking on Ex-Services on Sunday.
On the local scene golf this weekend will see Stableford played on Saturday with sponsorship from Forbes Bus Lines while on Sunday it will be the usual Stableford medley.
One of the club majors will be played Saturday week in 4BBB par sponsored by Highlands Design.
Included will be play for the Ron Barton Memorial as well as the qualifying round in the NSW men's GPS 4BBB par competition.
With the weather becoming more liking to outdoors sports now is the time to visit our resident professional Ben for lessons on how to improve your play.
Ben is now driving the course on Saturday with the drinks cart and as expected some 'freebies' are on offer.
He's that type of 'bloke' who is making everyone welcome to the Forbes golf course.
On a more personal note contact Ben regarding lesson where he has a special going of three fairway lessons for the cost of $99. Looking for a gift?
Not a bad one for any golfer.
Ben also has new stocks arriving daily, at present he has Taylor-Made 'woods' demo clubs available.
A good time to upgrade your clubs.
Coming up, Wednesday March 6 will see the best from Titleist during a demo trade day while Taylor-Made will be doing similar on Friday March 22.
Ben is really keen on the kids at present and is offering a clinic each Tuesday for a cost of $10. All the kids need is a smile and water bottle, clubs will be supplied if needed.
Finally, a note on the contribution being made by our veteran golfers as see in Tuesday's edition of the Advocate where mid-week 12 hole 'chief' Geoff Drane organised a presentation of funds to sponsor two weekend rounds of competition golf.
While on veteran golfers (and we currently have over 80 of them) or those 55 years and over, now is the time to nominate for the Lachlan Valley Forbes Week of Golf set down for Monday April 8 to Friday April 12.
It appears nominations from 'out of town' are quite good but as for locals, they are bit slow coming in. The schedule of play is appealing.
After a welcome Sunday (April 7) evening play will consist of 4BBB Stableford medley on Monday, Tuesday will be the first round of the 36 hole individual Stableford, leisure day Wednesday, Thursday the second round of the 36 hole individual Stableford while on Friday it will be a shot gun start form 9am for the NSWVGA Medal in Stableford competition.
Nomination forms now available from the Pro Shop, or contact Lynnie Roberts on 6852 3473 for further details or the Pro Shop on 6851 1554.
