A pencil drawing of Forbes Court House by Sampa Bhakta was chosen for the Forbes Shire Council acquisition prize.
Sampa also claimed first prize in the drawing and painting categories, with Ro Burns first in the photography.
The art awards rounded out with prizes to Karen Ritchie and Pamela Delves-Thomson.
A new arts scholarship introduced this year was awarded to two young local dancers.
The scholarship, sponsored by Forbes Shire Council and Forbes Arts Society, is open to all art forms including visual arts, curatorial arts, dance, design, digital arts, Aboriginal arts, history, writing, music, theatre and screen.
Jenna Redfern and Fletcher Brown, who perform at many local events, will use the funds to participate in the Rural Dance Development Program they have been selected for.
