The annual 'Wear Red Day' was started last year in Bathurst, and encourages people around the region to wear red and make a gold coin donation to support Ronald McDonald House Orange.
Ronald McDonald House Orange opened in April 2015 after more than 10 years of fundraising by the community.
Since opening their doors just four years ago, the charity organisation has hosted more than 560 families from around the region who have children diagnosed with a serious illness.
A total 60 families from Forbes and more from the surrounding area including Eugowra and Bedgerabong have had 220 nights free accommodation close to the medical services they need thanks to the service.

The Orange facility is one of 18 Ronald McDonald Houses supporting families as they access medical treatment across the country.
The charity also supports 18 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms which provides a place for families to rest and recharge in hospital.
Ronald McDonald House also supports a Learning Program, which aims to help sick kids catch-up on missed education.
