The van is in Harold Street Monday to Wednesday, from 9.45am to 2.45pm.
While they had received good advance bookings, when the Advocate dropped in on Monday, at this time of year it's common for there to be cancellations due to ill health meaning more appointments become available.
Donors urged to phone in and check on availability.
Please have a good-sized breakfast (or lunch) and plenty to drink before giving blood.
The van returns to Forbes Monday November 4 to Wednesday November 6.
