The event is held over two days at the Forbes Pony Club grounds, and Pony Club riders from Forbes and across the region will gather to compete in showjumping, dressage, barrel racing and ring events.
"It is fitting for our club to celebrate the contributions of Charlie O'Connor and John Stewart after whom the showjumping, dressage and barrel race were named, each year," Forbes Pony Club president Laurie Norris said.
"Our club has a long and proud history and these men both played an important part.
"It is great to see our young riders following in their footsteps.
"We are honored also that John Stewart's parents Bill and Loris will be there on Sunday to present the esteemed barrel racing trophy in memory of their son."
Events start at 9am on both days with a gear check at 830am.
Riders can register before hand or on the day, with entry forms available on the Forbes Pony Club Facebook page or by emailing forbesponyclub@gmail.com
"We look forward to seeing some wonderful riding and horsemanship over the two days," Mr Norris said.
"The grounds are looking spic and span after last weekends working bee and we will have a canteen operating.
"Come on down and cheer the riders on."
