Mayor Phyllis Miller made the announcement on the Forbes Shire Council Facebook page.
"It certainly will be open under different conditions than it ever has been," she advised.
"You'll have a COVID-safe plan, but let's all get outdoors - we're safer outdoors than indoors and you're going to have a fantastic time with the pool open."
The Forbes Olympic Pool Facebook page advises some of those rules include:
- All patrons will need to check in to the venue
- Physical distancing of 1.5m must be adhered to
- Capacity limits are in place, one person per four square metres indoors and one person per two square metres outdoors.
- Wear a face mask indoors
Learn to swim and squad program will reopen at 80 per cent vaccination rates.
If you are not feeling well do not enter the venue: get tested for Covid-19 and then isolate until you receive a negative result.
