We head to the polling booths on December 4: candidate registration opens October 25 and closing November 12
Our current councillors have now served five-and-a-half years, and the next term will be a shortened one.
So far, seven of our eight current councillors have indicated they will put their name forward for another term
Those include our current mayor Phyllis Miller and deputy Chris Roylance, along with councillors Michele Herbert, Steve Karatiana, Graeme Miller, Jeff Nicholson, Jenny Webb
Cr Grant Clifton, who has served two terms including a term as our deputy mayor, has indicated he will step back from local government.
