Following our 'cut short' Winter Comp, we held gradings for new and returning players.
Welcome back to Shanna, Jay, Henry, Justin and Chris from Parkes as well as all new and regulars supporting our comp. A special welcome back to Brendon Stonham and his sister Aimee.
Wednesday night November 10, Court One; Ridges lost to Bayleys 7 points to 14, Greg lost to Alex 1-3, Blaze Allen lost to Jackson Beaudin 1-3 and Max Ridge beat Tyson McKinnon 3-1.
Court Two; Benticks lost to Bergers 7 points to 16. Sub Kym Chudleigh lost to Jan Berger 0-3, Sub Will Markwort lost to Hannah Nixon 1-3 and in a great finish at two sets all, sub Tyson McKinnon won against Claire Bayley 17-15.
Court Three; Chudleighs tied Cogswells 7 all, Kym lost to Christine 0-3, Kasey Kinsey beat Will Markwort 3-0, Triston McKinnon verses Shannon Rath no game.
Thursday evening and in a grueling "Match of the Week" Haig Carlisle beat Jake Shaw; 13-15, 19-17, 12-15, 15-9 and another big 19-17, wow what an effort!
Court One: Hornerys defeated Millers 18 points to 10, Sam beat sub Justin Healy 3-0, Jono Cannon beat Chris McQuie 3-1, Cam Toole beat Mark Webb 3-0, Pete Tzinos forfeit to Aimee Stonham, Chris McConnell lost to Adam Chudleigh 0-3.
Court Two: Pipers won over Stonhams 22 points to 13, Darryn beat Brendon 3-0, Dennis Haynes beat Pat Cormie 3-0, Beck Connell beat Richard Plowes 3-1 and Ken Bryant lost to Al Carlisle 0-3.
Court Three; Dan Bayley lost to Jay Kross 0-3, Henry Kross beat Brendon Allegri 3-1, after early success 15-8 Shanna Nock lost the next three sets to Pete Cowhan, Neil Toole beat sub Weivan Huang 3-0 and at two down Deb Bryant played clever squash to equal scores but lost the final set 12-15 to Weivan Huang.
Next week: Team 2 plays 3, 1 plays 6, 4 plays 5.
