Forbes Auto Sports Club members have been devastated by another break-in at their Daroobalgie club.

Thieves have taken a water tank, unregistered ute and Davey water pump in the second break-in on the club in as many months.
Two other water tanks on site were drained and disconnected. Thieves gained access by cutting fences and locks between Monday and Tuesday afternoon.
Club members are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity or vehicles in the area to report it to police.
“The club is so devastated and angry that we have been targeted again,” a committee spokesperson said.
“There is no chance we are going to get to race this year.
“If anyone saw or heard anything please let us know and please keep your ears out if you hear of anything for sale or if your neighbour turns up with a water tank and ute.”
The Forbes business community had responded to news of the first break-in with a number of generous donations.
The committee spokesperson said the donations received would go toward getting racing back on track, but they want to ensure they can secure it first.
“We will get up and going again, it’s a matter of how and when,” she said.
The Forbes Auto Sports Club has been in operation for the last 20 years, run by parents and volunteers.
They put on six or seven race meetings throughout the year, each bringing 200 to 300 people to Forbes from all over the state.
In the past three years, Forbes Auto Sports Club has been working hard to continue running, with the cost of permits, licences, levies and medical help becoming very expensive, as is the ground maintenance which is carried out by the club’s volunteers.
The club has had a number of sponsors over the last few years, however all money has gone directly into running race meetings including covering the cost of first aid or trophies for the competitors.
