The Escort Way from Forbes to Eugowra is closed at Southern Cross due to flood waters, with motorists needing to detour via Parkes.
The Lachlan Valley Way between Gooloogong and Cowra is also closed, as are a number of local and rural roads.
The Lachlan River is now expected to reach 10.35m on Wednesday – it was at 9.05m Monday morning and rising.

The Escort Way between Forbes and Eugowra at 12 Mile Road and Southern Cross
Lachlan Valley Way is closed between Gooloogong and Cowra - due to water over road
Yarrabandai Road (intersection with Corridgery Road) - due to water over road
Paytens Bridge Road (multiple locations) - due to water over road
Wambat Street (Johnny Woods Crossing) - due to water over road
Gordon Duff Drive (Wambat St to Camp St) - due to water over road
Boxfield Road (off Lachlan Valley Way – Cowra Road) - due to water over road
Quirks/Drabsch Road - due to water over road
Salisbury Road (at Salisbury Crossing between Bedgerabong Road and Racecourse Road - due to water over road
Trigg Hill Road (between Parkes-Eugowra Road and Cookamidgera) 500 mm
Bundaburrah Crossing (Farnell Street/Show Street) - due to water over road with access to B-Doubles only using extreme caution
Pinnacle Road (between Garema and Weddin Shire boundary) 400mm - due to water over road
Limestone Road - due to water damage
School Road (western end leading to Limestone Road) - due to water damage
Forest Road (east of Central West Livestock Exchange)
Cabonne Shire:
Paytens Bridge Road near Eugowra has now been closed and drivers are advised to take extreme care on Yells Road bridge, Reedy Creek Road bridge and Eulimore Road bridge in the Eugowra area.
In the Canowindra area, Soldier Settlement Bridge is closed at Settlement Road, along with Bangaroo Bridge on Rivers Road, Canowindra.
ising floodwaters have now closed The Escort Way (Main Road 377) in Forbes Shire about 20 kilometres from Forbes.
While a section of the road which had been closed at Eugowra has since reopened, motorists driving west towards Forbes should travel via Parkes.
South of Orange, Ophir Reserve remains closed, however Ophir Road and Gowan Road at the Lewis Ponds Creek bridge are open.
The Renshaw-McGirr Way from Yeoval to Wellington is open again as is Gundong Road from Yeoval to Narromine.

Ashburnham Road (between Parkes Road & Ernie Hodges Road) 200 mm
Coonambro Way (between Parkes-Eugowra Road and Cookamidgerra) 200 mm
Thurungle Road (between Pinnacle Road and MR236) 50mm
Shanahans Road (between Thurungle Road and Palazzis Lane) 200mm
Grawlin Passage (between MR236 and New Grenfell Road) 50mm
Motorists are encouraged to take caution in present road conditions. Please avoid walking or driving through flood waters, it may be deeper and faster flowing than anticipated and the damage to roadway could be extensive.
