Rob Priest, Ray Dunstan, Peter Mackay and Brian Tisdell had a 23:15 win against Alf Davies, Russell Hodge, Glen Kearney and Don Drabsch. It was a very friendly match.
The final will be played on Saturday 11th March against Mick Ryan, Brian Asimus, Russell Dietrich and Scott Andrews.
In the Major Fours second semi-final Glen Kearney, Alf Davies, Don Drabsch, and Russell Hodge.
The winners on the day were Peter Mackay, Ray Dunstan, Brian Tisdell and Rob Priest.
Wednesday at One – It’s was great to see the Wednesday games organised well while I did some catching up with an old mate on the banks of the Nambucca River.
Cliffy Nelson and Barry Shine flew out of the boxes with a big 24:6 win over Peter Mackay and Trevor Curry. Alf Davies and Ernie Egan finished the game with a 17:10 win over Johnny Gorton and Col Breaden.
Peter Greenhalgh and Graham West had a 20:16 victory against Jim Maloy and Kerry Dunstan. Fred Vogelsang and Scott McKellar scraped home with a 19:17 win from Bill O’Connell and Lyall Strudwick.
Then in a closer match Michael Flash Ryan and Tony Bratton picked up four on the last end to win by 16:15 from Merv Langfield and Wayne Burton. Thanks gents, keep on inviting new guys to give it a go any Wednesday at One. All welcome just turn up before one o’clock.
Wednesday March 15th is Irish Day starting at 9.30. Make sure your name is in by 9.00.
It will all finish with an Irish lunch and probably a glass of Guinness but if there are any players keen for more bowls the Wednesday at One could still be run…. Feel free.
Thursday afternoon – There were a couple of close matches last Thursday. Pete Brogan, Cliff Nelson and John Kennedy took the last end to win by 18:17 from Ray Dunstan, Allan Hilder and Griffo.
Grant Lambert and A Halleck ended up with a 22:21 win from B Loomes and Tony Bratton. Peter Greenhalgh and Mick Connelly won by 26:16 from Scott McKellar and Geoff Williams. Well done gents keep up the strong competition.
Irish day – Coming up in March is the Irish Bowls Day. So keep Wednesday March 15th free. Names in by 9.00 and play starts at 9.30. An Irish lunch will be served. So join in and have a wee bit of fun.
Update your shirt – Some new shirts will be ordered soon. So if yours is a bit old or discoloured put your name and size on the board for a new one.
