The world famous Scottish and previously European Cup Champions Celtic FC Elite Academy came to Australia during the April School holidays setting up a three day camp in Brisbane. Forbes, Lachlan United and Western NSW Mariners boy Brodie Hodges had the chance to attend.

Players aged from 11 to 18 years from all over Australia and New Zealand were invited by their respective coaching co-ordinators to attend.
Celtic FC International Academy have recently expanded to China, New Zealand and a lot more locations in Australia over the last six months and the elite camp in Brisbane is the first of what is to become an annual event.
The coaching staff are from Club Academy who currently have one of the top 3 Under 13 boys teams in Europe and features a young boy by the name of Dembele who is ranked as the number one 13 year old in the world and currently has Barcelona chasing his signature. He made his debut for Scotland Under 16s and Celtic Reserve Grade at the age of 13.
The point being that 90 boys and girls from Australia and New Zealand had the opportunity to be coached by staff who have some of the best youth in the world.
The Camp consisted of 3 days and 2 nights live in a private college in Brisbane with football sessions, game analysis and tactics, health and nutrition and essentially the boys lived the life of a Celtic Youth Academy player for 3 days.
In addition, Tony Massie - International Manager for Australasia had the difficult task of selecting 2-4 players who will be offered a week at Celtic FC Youth Academy, Glasgow.
