Saturday was a top day with more than 1000 people filling Lion’s Park for the second Teddy Bear’s Picnic.

Fiona Blyth said organisers were thrilled with the day and grateful for the perfect weather.
“It was a really site to have the picnic,” Mrs Blythe said. “We had lots of people and lots of really lovely feedback.”
The teddy bear’s picnic was launched last year and grew this year to cater for the overwhelming interest from the community.
New attractions including the miniature train, teacup ride, Ninja course and play gym were very popular, Mrs Blythe said.
The preschool and Seed Occupational Therapy provided play equipment that had loads of kids climbing and having a wonderful time.
There were also a lot of new activities: Neighbourhood Watch came along to help the kids make teddy bear faces out of sandwiches and crackers; while Woolworths staff dressed up for the occasion and helped the kids make fruit rockets.
Children could make gecko dot paintings with the Wiradjuri Dreaming Centre and Generocity Church or do races and tug-o-war with Forbes Little Athletics.
