Come along and join in Storytime for pre-schoolers and their parents and carers at Forbes Library each fortnight from 10.30am.
The next dates will be: Thursday November 16 and Thursday December 7.
A library spokesperson explained that even from early infancy, reading to your baby teaches them to recognise sounds and rhythm of language – it’s also a great bonding exercise.
“Studies show that children who are routinely read to from a young age develop improved language skills and an increased interest in reading,” a media release from the library says.
Storytime includes communication, listening, memory and imagination.
