The beep test is a fitness test in which participants do 20 metre shuttle runs in time with beep sounds on a pre-recorded audio cassette until they are unable to complete the run before the beep.
This test aims to take participants to their fitness limit.
Sport coordinator and event organiser Katie Stitt said, “All students from years 2- 6 completed the Beep Test in Sports Skills lessons and the girl and boy winners from each class went into the grand finale against staff members.”
The grand final was was won by staff members Josh Avis and Ethan Gaffney who drew on level 10.1. These teachers are local sporting stars in AFL and NRL respectfully.
The student champions were Fyn Harrison on level 8.7 and Georgie Coote on 8.3.
“We like to hold this event at this time of year to encourage students to keep physically active over the school holidays,” Mrs Stitt said.
