The winner Fred Collie thanked the Bernardi family for their support and the organising contribution of the FGA and Vets committee.
Fred was a popular winner in the mystery draw for partners in the four-ball aggregate event over 12 holes along with Parkes visitor Rod Luyt scoring 54 points, 27 to each player.
They were amongst 48 players, including eight ladies, who took to the course on Thursday leading up to Christmas.
Runners-up and slightly unlucky were Forbes players Gregg Webb and Dave Rhodes only one point back on 53 points.
They won lessons courtesy local golf resident professional Simon Houston.
Nearest the pin in the medley were Clayton Alley on the ninth and junior Cameron McMillan on the 18th.
Forbes and Parkes vets played an individual event in conjunction with the inform Garry Collits from the host club winning with 27 points from Ian Phipps of Parkes on 26 and via a count-back.
Robyn Lyell was one of the ladies who played to enjoy the experience despite collecting the Encouragement Award posting 15 points, with a host of others only one point away from a count-back.
