Mr Moore is one of eleven Forbes locals chosen to carry the Queen’s baton on its journey to the Gold Coast for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The Advocate spoke to Mr Moore about being nominated to carry the Queen’s baton on day 35 of the relay.
Mr Moore said he was thrilled when he found out that he was nominated to be a baton bearer.
A former member of the Forbes Bicentennial Committee, local radio station 2LVER and the Lachlan House with No Steps, Mr Moore has been active in many programs around Forbes.
“I’ve always loved Forbes and am interested in promoting it,” Mr Moore said.
The Queen’s baton will pass through Forbes on January 29 on its Australian leg to the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The Advocate will be featuring other baton bearers in the lead up to the relay.
