The previously undefeated Gunn’s Mensland team bowed out in last week’s semi-finals, but Forbes will be represented by Adept Plumbing in the Under 17 grand final against McGraths at Northparkes Oval under lights tonight.
Our Auswest Under 12s will meet Waugh at Northparkes Oval on Saturday.
In the under 17s major semi final between McGraths and Gunns Nathan Pye and Mitch Wright both carried their bats after reaching 20. while the top scorers for Gunns were Sam Nixon, with 23, and Luke McDean with 15.
Best of the bowlers for Gunns were Bill Ryan one for 4 and Darcy Jones 1/8 while Tom Hopkins and Stu Gordon were best in the field.
In the other semi final between Adept Plumbing and Borders Jimmy Kuntze starred with the bat hitting a well compiled 30 with good support from Brady Nicols 18 out of the team’s total of 6/104..
Tobn Hurford was a standout with the ball taking three wicket for no runs while Jimm Kuntze topped off a great all round performance with 2/5 as Adept dismissed Borders for 82.
In the Under 12’s for Forbes Auswest Joe Ellison 16 and George Field top scored as they defeated Gilchrists 5/51.
In the other Semi Final Waughs 4/79 defeated Bernardis IGA 3/78.
Grand Final Draw for Friday 16/03/18 and Saturday 17/03/18.
Friday – to begin at 5.45 pm, players need to be there by 5.30 pm.
Under 17’s - Adept Plumbing V McGraths at Northparkes Oval, Parkes.
A BBQ and cold drink stall will operate with a gold coin donation.
Saturday – All games to begin at 8.30 am, players need to be there by 8.15 am.
Under 14’s – Chappells vs Lillees at Spicer Oval, Parkes.
Under 12’s - Auswest vs Waughs at Northparkes Oval, Parkes.
Lachlan Primary Schools Sports Association conducted cricket selection trials on Friday, March 8.
Five players have been selected to attend the final Western PSSA Boys selection trials at Dubbo.
Selected are – Riley Keen (Condobolin PS), Harry Jones (Parkes PS), Jack Milne (Parkes East PS), Jonah Little (Forbes PS) and Ryan Goodsell (Condobolin PS).
