Loni, from Victoria, said she was travelling on the highway with a horse float when she noticed a wheel sticking out and found the weld had broken away from the axle and chassis.
She was transporting an unhandled horse that could not be unloaded.
“We rang around and Darren Cowan from Darren Cowan Welding and Fabrications sent one of his men out to inspect,” she wrote to the Advocate.
“We needed to get back to the workshop so we limped back under the watchful eye of Darren's worker.
“As quick as a flash he had four men working on the float with horse still inside as it could not be removed.
“Whilst working on the float for 3.5 hrs they found and repaired all the fractures they found separate to the axle.
“These people are hard to find that will drop everything and come help you out in an emergency as they did. A huge thumbs up.”
