Currently in its third year, the cycling event attracted 55 cyclists across two distance events – a 120km ride and a 72km ride.
Event organiser Chris Haggerty said the event was put on for cycling enthusiasts with the aim of promoting Forbes and the Central West.
Avid cyclists travelled from around the region and state including Dubbo, Bathurst, Young and the Hunter Valley.
Mr Haggerty said several riders travel to Forbes for this event because of the flat terrain in and around Forbes.
Both the 72km and 120km rides took the cyclists out of Forbes on Yarrabandai Road and through Bedgerabong before finishing at the Forbes Aquatic Centre.
Claiming line honours were Josh Corcoran and Jennifer Short in the 120km; and Danny Weal and Nina Dowling in the 72km.
A special encouragement presentation of a limited edition riding jersey was also presented to 13-year-old Jackson Wilkin who put in his longest ride to date in the 72km event.
Mr Haggerty said the cycling event was not for profit and they plan to donate the proceeds raised from the event to a community group.
Last year, the Forbes Flatlands Cyclo Sportif donated $1,000 to local charity CanAssist.
The Forbes Flatlands Cyclo Sportif will be taking place again next year on May 19, 2019.
