“The bar is the social hub of the show,” secretary Jan Facey says, but this year the Show Society has been unable to find a group to run it.
All proceeds from the bar go to the group that runs it, the Show Society doesn’t want any revenue from it, they just don’t have the manpower to run it themselves.
With just three weeks left until show time, Mrs Facey urges anyone who can help to call her as soon as possible with any questions they might have.
You can contact her at the Show office on 6852 1311 in normal business hours.

The Show team has been busy making plans and changing things up to encourage everyone to be part of this year’s show.
Discount tickets, new events
Buy your tickets this month to get a huge discount on show entry, adult tickets are just $10 for two days and children and aged pensioners $5.
That gets you in both days – Friday and Saturday September 7 and 8 – tickets are available at Bernardi’s and Woolworths supermarkets.
The committee has also lined up some new events and attractions, changing things up in the pavilion as well.
Ute barrel racing is coming to the arena on Saturday afternoon, you can find out more or put your name down at the show office now.
This year, all pavilion entries are free for primary school age and younger children, high school and open sections have a flat $1 fee.
You can get your entry tickets at the show office or Glass Menagerie now, and start planning your entries.
The full schedule is available at forbesshow.com and there’s a limited number of printed copies at the Show and Advocate offices.
There are some fun new sections: decorated gumboots, decorated umbrella and “my favourite toy from years gone by”, and all entries in these sections are free.
In addition to the many favourite categories, there’s also a new mosaic section in the pavilion.
The Show team is hoping the community will come on board and support the annual event.
