Mr Cutler said he liked going to donate with his workmates as they helped to remind each other when the mobile blood unit was in town.
According to the Australian Red Cross Blood Service website, every blood donation can help save three lives.
Mr Cutler said what helps him to keep donating is that blood is a much needed commodity and that it helps him maintain a healthy lifestyle.
“When you become a donor you think about your food and activity so you don’t fall foul of the criteria.”

To be a blood donor you need to be 18-70 years old, weigh 50kg or more and be fit and healthy. During the donation, a staff member will ask some questions to check that you're fine to donate, do a blood pressure test and 'finger prick' test to check your level of haemoglobin.
